Started my wife's car this morning I could smell some burning from under the bonnet turned it off noticed the the glow plug wire has melted on the right hand side where the connecter block is any one known what's going on please?

    I think you need to find someone who no as it could cause a fire if left unchecked

    I'll hazard a guess it's a 1.8tdci, there's been a few of these.

    Apparently there's been a few like this I've bought a new power lead from Ford and connector going to fit it later and post what happens
