Hi help needed, looking to buy a  2012 (61)Ford Focus Zetec tdci 5-door £6,295  67000 miles .

Does the price and mileage sound about right. Haven't viewed it yet but from the pictures it looks very tidy. 

One owner from new and full service history.

Hi Peter. Do you actually need a diesel? There are some associated problems with them (DPF etc) if youre not doing the mileage the engine needs. I have a bit of a heavy right foot but still get 34mpg around town from my 1.6 Ecoboost petrol engine. I thought there is something big happening soon with diesels as they are now not as friendly to the environment as previously thought? I havent a clue on that though as i dont pay any attention to the topic with me not owning one.

Diesel or petrol not really bothered, 

Max spend £7000 nearly all used focus in local Ford garage start from £8000.

If you dont do the mileage then i wouldnt bother with a diesel. You are better off waiting until the last week of the month if youre buying from a main dealer as that is when you have your most negotiating power due to the dealerships needs to hit the monthly sales targets. You will get the best deal (subject to your negotiating powers!) on the condition that you collect the car before the last day of the month.

There are cars out there for what you want to pay. This is just an example of another 1 owner car.
