Oil service & EGR valve

Featured Replies

Hi.

I purchased my Ford Focus in august. The oil service light came up so I put in it for the £200 service. A month later, the light has returned. I know the car needs an EGR valve change, which was going to get done next week.

My concerns are that the oil service light is not connected to the EGR valve issues. I don't want to pay to get the valve replaced to only have further costs.

If anyone could help as to if the oil service light could be connected to the EGR valve needing replacing?

i know nothing about cars, other than how to drive it 😂

Thanks in advance!

Hi, could just be as simple as resetting the oil service light, I think it's holding accelerator and brake together then turn your key to position 2 then wait 30 seconds ish and it should reset, you need to do this with the doors closed (not locked, just closed) if memory serves.
