I've got problem with my car and it's really starting to do my head in.    My engine intermittently misses sometimes bringing up "engine malfunction"  had engine scanned and had injector fault I've now had all four replaced I've had ecu sent off for repair they said they found a intermittent fault and fixed it car still the same now anyone who scans it doesn't get fault codes but problem still persists any advice please I'm sick as f%*k

I would be very sceptical about a company claiming to have found an intermittent fault on a solid state ECU with no field sensors connected, highly dubious. If they charged a tidy sum I would ask for a complete technical explanation of what they allegedly found, I'm guessing they have done diddly squat.

It was a company called ecu testing who came recommended I was very dubious after fault still persisted I've tried everything I've had egr mapped out and it's been scanned by 4 separate mechanics and no codes show up even after its had engine malfunction. Yes repair? Wasn't cheap £310

And where do they muster up a figure of £310 pounds £300 in pocket and £10 to cover post, threaten them with trading standards see if they wobble, if they are running a dodgy set up they will want you to keep you quiet and may offer you a refund.

Just dug out invoice from ecu testing it says NO FAULT FOUND REPAIRED AS REQUESTED when in fact they phoned garage repairing carbon the Monday saying there was no faults and on the Wednesday there was intermittent fault so I have no fault that garage told them to fix. I think not time to ring them and ask for some money back
