Can't activate anti hijack?

Hi new here so go gentle on me please.

 

I recently purchased a 2008 ford focus 1.6 zetec petrol, my 2nd ford car but my first car was only a fiesta finesse so nothing fancy.  I've seen on many websites the programmes you can do to repgroamme your focus to do things such as global windows one touch up and down, change locking to 2 button press instead of 1 opening all doors, all of these work great on my car, but I'm really struggling to get the anti hijack feature to activate? I've tried endless amounts of times but just can't get it to work? Is this feature even available on the model focus I have? If so am I doing something wrong? I turn ignition to on but not starting the engine, lock and unlock drivers door 3 times, turn ignition to off, repeat the locking and unlocking 3 times, turn ignition  to on again and lock once more, every forums I've read says I should hear a beep but I get nothing? Would really like this feature so please any advice is appreciated.
