Car running rich

Featured Replies

Hi peeps

I'm new to the foru:biggrin:

ive just been given a 1993 Ford Fiesta cayman, it's a great little car but has a couple of problems

its running really rich as can smell petrol thought the air vents and out side of the car , at the moment it only does about 60miles on £20 worth of fuel

Today, my wife took it out and just cut out and wouldn't start again , The AA man said the engine was flooded with petrol, so he cleared it and it fired up first time and been ok ever since .

Any ideas ? Gonna service it this weekend, so hopefully will make a difference but can you think of any other things that may need looking at?

Any help would be great
