Ford Fiesta 1.6 Econetic coolant

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, Bought a second hand Fiesta 1.6 TDCI econetic Titanium last October on a 15 plate. In the last month I have topped up the coolant twice amounting to 1litre of coolant in total. Now I have also checked the engine oil level and that appears higher than I am comfortable with, to the top of the yellow tip on the dipstick. The oil on the dipstick looks normal and I have contacted local Ford dealer who will look at it as it is still under warranty. The dealer said it would be most unusual to have head gasket problems. The car has done 23000 miles so it would be unusual to have a head gasket problem but with diesel you can occasionally run into problems. The coolant level has never dropped to serious low. Any observations would be gratefully received.
