Central locking problem driver side only

Hi,

 

I have got a ford focus x reg year 2000 1.6 liter and the central locking only on the drivers door is not working.  The rest of the car locks and unlocks fine but just the drivers door doesnt work from the key.  I can manually lock and unlock the drivers door using the key but this does not lock or unlock the whole car just the drivers door. Please can somone tell me what they think the problem is.
