Drained battery now has a service transmission warning

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, this is frustrating.  I left something on that drained the battery, jumped the car and now I have a transmission warning.  I had the service engine light and a wrench, the engine light went out but now there is a wrench warning and also a service transmission warning as well.  The vehicle is a 2016 SE with the 1.6 engine and auto trans.  The car runs fine but something needs to be reset, or so I think.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks

Get it over to the dealer to get it fixed, if the battery went that flat the instrument cluster had lost itsy memory and defaults to you needing a service.

As its under warranty being a last year you may ad well get the full works from the dealer at their expense

If that is true, then changing a battery or even cleaning dirty poles must be done by a dealership?  This is just too irrational to be true, if for no other reason then buyers would not accept this.
