06 Ghia estate water leaking in to the boot

Featured Replies

Hello all

Hope some one can help, having moved up from a second hand Y reg escort estate (i ran into the ground) to a 06 Ghia estate and feeling like Captain Picard with all the bells and whistles!

I have found that it is leaking in the back, by a process of elimination I think I have found the leak somewhere on the back half of the roof rack rails, (how it gets in I don't know I taped it with black gaffer tape and it stopped leaking in) now it seems to have loads of condensation in the space where the spare wheel sits.

I haven't got round to sorting out the roof rack rail leak as I'm not sure how to go about it, maybe some silicon sealant in the right places?

does anyone know of a classic fault that causes this on this model

thanks for reading

hopefully some one can help before it starts rusting away
