Hello everyone,

 

I am new on the forum and I would need your help in order to get to the bottom of an issue I am having when it comes to ordering a specific car part. My car is an MK3 3.0 V6 with the same engine  as on the ST220, except for the ECU. I have had the car for about 5 years now and I have been enjoying every bit of it. However, when I bought it, it was fitted with the complete ST220 kit (bumpers, side skirts etc.). I had a crash a while back so my front bumper was severely damaged with no possibility of being repaired, therefore I have been looking to replace it. However, due to the fact that my car is originally a Ghia trim version and the ST body kit is completely different, I am not able to find the part (front bumper) via any spare part dealer, because I don't have the code for it. Every spare part dealer has automatically been asking me for the car chassis number (VIN) but they would not have any use for it as the VIN my car's got is associated with a Ghia model and not an ST220, and for the Ghia model , the body kit is completely different. To make things even more complicated, I live in Romania where there are only 5 Ford Mondeo ST220s in the whole country and couldn't find any ST220 owners on the Romanian Ford forums either to help out. If anyone could please help me with this matter, I would highly appreciate it.
