Hey guys, we'll I have a 1.6 ghia 03 plate and yesterday out of nowhere my car started to shake in idle thought nothing of it till it started to pop and sound like a lawn mower when driving! I have changed my plugs and checked that there is fuel but no joy and now engine management light has appeared!  Still rough idle any ideas will be much appreciated!!

    it could be the coil pack or leads

    Check the resistance of the leads using a meter ..... https://www.ngk.de/en/technology-in-detail/ignition-cables/diagnosis/testing-of-ignition-cables/ 

    and as per the post above, it could be the coil. (The fact the EM light is on I'd be more inclined to say the coils the culprit and it can take out the leads and plugs once it goes)

    Thanks for your posts, I used a code reader and it said ignition Coil and misfire cylinder 2!! Turns out my Coil pack had a huge crack in it and was still the original from when it come of the production line thanks huys
