batesy11880 Posted April 7, 2017 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Hi all i drive a ford focus 55 plate 1.6 petrol the last week it started to run like its got no power it will tick over fine and start fine i have changed plugs etc even gone and had new exhaust fitted and it is still doing it it will not rev over 5000 revs there are no warning lights on the dash at all please help 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

E TEA 66 Posted April 7, 2017 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Welcome aboard :) and yes i agree with Dez as you get build up of carbon as well as other things in the cat which can very slowly block the cat up and a clear sign of it having a blockage is to shake the cat to see if you can hear any rattling as such which is a clear sign of build up but don't go hitting it with a hammer as it can completely loosen up any depositson on the inside of the cat making matters alot worse and even stop your engine from running at all .. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
