''Heel & Toe'' gear changing and of course big balls in this shed which I never crashed too  Sold it back in 1993 because of mad car insurances against the RS crowd, went from £50 a year to £700, enough was enough so sold it on  Strangely the new owner wrote my love off within a month

What a little beauty, must have been a kick in the stomach to know she'd been binned not too long after you sold her.

insurance prices are shocking like.

Filling me full of confidence these replies like, how did you manage to do it?

I took my eye of the ball and hit a wall!  Wrote it off...the chassis was twisted beyond repair.
I bought it off a mechanic who had made some *cough* 'minor adjustments' *cough*

After I got the insurance payout, I bought a 2 litre Cortina Ghia in red, with a Weber carburetor and the plushest interior I have ever seen.

Nothing major, been lowered a decent amount, low profiles and bigger rims, intake too.

Nice, they always look better lowered and if you lower it you need to complete the look with a good set of rims/tyres. Did your insurance go up at all with the mods?

Aye, couldn't agree more mate, not by a silly amount surprisingly, a few insurers backed out though.
