rear reverse sensors

Featured Replies

Hello i have changed my rear lights on my 2013 ford focus titanium x to full L.E.D the lights work perfect but when i put the car into reverse the bleeper goes off continuously like as if i am close to an obstacle does anyone know what the problem could be please.

First thing I would do is make sure the sensors are all clean, start with the easiest thing first. Then put the car in reverse and check the reverse lamp comes on, their may be a short somewhere.

I've been told, but never checked this, that the sensors can be heard 'clicking' when you engage reverse, you need to put your ear to them to hear it. If one is faulty then perhaps it will show up that way?

Hi Ledley. If you've still got the original rear lights then refit them. Try reverse again and see if the same happens. If it doesn't then there's a problem with the LED lights. If the beeper sounds then I'd take it to an auto electrician.
