Recently bought a '63' plate Focus with an Auto  powershift gearbox.

When I bought the car it had 9929 miles on it,i've done another 300 miles in the car since 24/02/2017 up until the car went back to Fords on April 10th 2017 .I had a 3 month warranty with the car ,which has recently gone back to Trust Fords for another issue where they diagnosed a fault with the Clutch ,i'm trying to get this done under the warranty ,but wondered and thought  i'd read somewhere that the Powershift Auto gearbox had an extended warranty from 3 to 5 years ,or am I dreaming .

Any help or advice would be great.

you are correct. 5 yrs on the clutch components and transmission control module.

I just hope that I don't get involved in a long drawn out load of warranty issues.

For some reason I had to authorise Trust Fords ( 3 hours labour) to remove the clutch and for them to take photos for the warranty people, I've only had the car a few weeks and have had other problems apart from the clutch .

The car previously had to go back to Trust Ford to have the gear box re-programmed ,a new fuel tank sender unit and a few bodywork issues that arose quite soon after I bought the car home,hopefully the bodywork has been put right as they have had the car since 10th April to remedy this and a rough engine idle , they found the clutch problem when they put the car on the IDS fault finder to find out why the car had a rough idle

I'm more concerned about getting the gearbox sorted.
