Where can I find cheap parts?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

The offside front headlamp de-laminating on my car (the clear plastic in front of the reflector), and looks bad, so I would like to replace the headlamp.

Any tips on where to obtain a replacement headlamp, at a cheap price, that's not a chinese knock-off? I'm weary of buying from eBay (that and the fact that most of them seem to be costly).

Perhaps wreckers? Anyone know of any in the surrey/berkshire area?

do you have any local scrapyards or breakers?

We have an awesome local scrapyard. Prices are very good and you pick/remove your own parts. Definitely worth looking into mate.

Thanks, I'll do some research.

I've realized that a lot of the second hand ones sold on eBay seem to suffer from 'ghosting' (where the heat from a bulb or another source has clouded the top of the lens). Have to try to find a mint condition one.
