Door Locks

Featured Replies

Can anyone help with this problem.

I have a Ford transit connect 2003 modal

My key will lock the doors manually once locked won't unlock with key the fob does not work at all. The same key will start the engine no problem. I have tried it with the central locking fuse out and reprogramming the Key. This problem started after I put a new Battery in and a load of new fuses in the fuse box located in the engine.

Please help

That sentence is a bit confusing unsure.png!

Will the key unlock the doors manually (by turning in the lock)?

If it is just the remote control that does not work, the most likely suspect is the fob battery, followed by the fob itself. Then it would be the remote control receiver and its wiring and fuse.

When doing the re-program procedure, did you get the expected response (usually a beep) when entering the procedure, and also when pressing a button on the fob? If there was no response when entering the procedure, then either you have the wrong procedure, or there is a fault in the van's electronics.

The immobiliser (PATS) is almost independent of the remote control, and does not need a working fob. So it should still work.

(Except for Keyless start, when the fob battery is used to signal to the immobiliser. But I am sure your van does not have that)

The fob doesn't work at all. The key locks the doors manually but then will not unlock the doors manually. Any door that is.

Cheers
