I would like to know if a turbo from a 2005 focus mk1 1.8 tdci fit onto a 2015 focus mk2 1.6 tdci

Straight swap hybrid turbos available here: http://www.nbstyling.co.uk/store/?pCat=16

They also part exchange if there's nothing wrong with your existing turbo.

I can't imagine the mk1 turbo being compatible with the CanBus generation we have today, there's also the draw back of the DPF which will reduce the flow speed and that won't help a bigger turbo spin neither,

If tuning I'd purchase somthing from around 2002 backwards as they didn't have DPF's EGR's or variable vein turbochargers.
