Clive, would you say the 3 door and 5 door spoiler could be different ?

Should be identical.
The ST and Zetec S ones are identical and the Mk2 & Mk2.5 ST's only came with 3 door and obviously the ZS came with 5 doors.

This is what's confusing me, and they're not the only sellers specifying 3 door or 5 door, there's one or two on eBay as well.

Both look the ***** same to me, but for some reason the 5 door is £30 dearer.

Wouldn't there be extra weight lifting the tailgate up?

One thing is that most spoilers are unpainted some are not primed and come without the back brake light you will have to add that to your initial cost + the extra for extending the brake light wiring and pipe for the washer and some don't come with any fixing kit. Worth a real good look before you commit.

Hi Steve, have you received your Maxton spoiler yet ?

Yes and its unpainted  just in primer so I will have to get that done  in Piano Black I think , looks good quality though for a non OEM part. I will sort that soon got a few other things to do first as says the wife lol.
