Hello, 

i have recently bought a fiesta zetec s I have only had it a matter of months, firstly the boot kept flashing up that it was open when it was locked, now that has stopped when I have come to open the bonnet it's like the cable has come loose and won't release the bonnet, any ideas how to get the bonnet released another way without damaging the car?

Happened to my neighbour and it was a snapped cable, had to go into the garage. There must be a way of doing it at home though. When you pull the handle is it just loose in your hand or does it have at least some resistance as if it is still intact but just loose? If you think it is still intact then you could try removing the handle from the side trim and seeing if you can get hold of the cable at the bottom with some pliers and get the extra pull that way.
