Spanner Sign

Featured Replies

Hi Newby Here,

Fiesta 1500 Diesel 2014 model, Information on small screen said Service required, then small spanner sign on Dash. Vehicle then went into half power mode on Roundabout !  Pulled in switched off - no fault. Think the spanner is Power-train.

Spanner sign is usually to tell you a service is due or overdue but you don't usually loose power

It was only serviced 4,000 miles ago ?

Was the service counter reset with it?

service required and spanner can also mean there is a fault with the engine management

as you had it go in limp mode, then you started it and light /message went out then it wont be because you need a service.

if it comes back on then you need to get it looked at. is it still under the 3 yr warranty?

No its six months out
