Boost pipe issues

Featured Replies

Hi All, first time posting on here!

I've been having some boost pipe issues on my 2.2 diesel st Mondeo.

I noticed a split in my boost pipe after my car going into limp mode and the coil light flashing at me! So I went out and got a new pipe from main dealer at the cost of nearly £110. Had this fitted last week, tonight on my way home from work i gave it a bit of welly and the again the coil light started flashing and went into limp mode. Upon inspection the boost pipe has split again!! Could there be a reason as to why this is happening. I presume the turbo is over boosting causing the pipe to split. Does the turbo need replacing or could it be something more simple..

Any help is much appreciated.

Dan
