Wonder if any one here can advise me on GAP insurance.   I have a new car which was purchased on a 4 year scheme and which I intend to pay off at the end of the term.   I'm a bit confused at which type of GAP insurance I need.

Hi m8. Try Warranty Direct. I'm with them for both car warranty and GAP. I trust them as I used them some years ago and had no quibbles when I made a claim for clutch problem. Took 2 attempts too and no quibbles.
GAP insurance is just incase your car gets stolen or written off and you get paid the difference between what you paid for the car and it's worth at time of incident.

There are different types of GAP insurance. Most insure up to the initial cost however you can get a product that insures up to a replacement cost. Advice on moneysavingexpert.com is generally pretty good so have a read there for an overview and recommendations for providers.
