Auto lights 2009 galaxy ghia

Featured Replies

My auto lights are very slow to turn on. I mean it needs to be virtually dark before they come on. Is anybody aware if there is a lux level setting that can be adjusted within the sensor?

Resurrecting this old thread.

Anybody know the location of this sensor? What sort of operation does it have when set to auto? (I know the obvious!)

Ford Galaxy Sun solar sensor, also known as the ambient light sensor.

Located in the centre of the dashboard just behind the windscreen, looks like a little black dome.

Automatically turns on the headlights if switch is set to 'auto' also used to adjust the brightness of the panel lights and switch illumination. On some models it also works in conjunction with the auto wipers to help with the correct operation of wipers in daylight fog or other unusual weather conditions.
