Red Button MK6 2007 Fiesta Style

Featured Replies

Hi,

today I bought a 2007 1.25l Fiesta style, only just realised my car has a red button which upon looking at other interiors of the same car they don't have the button?

any idea what this is?

Never touch the red button:wink:

It looks like one of those anti theft things. The light will flash when you remove keys or lock the car as a deterrent for thieves.

"'Ere, Willis, let's nick this car!"

"Alright, Harris, you keep a look out."

"Nah wait, it's got one of them flashy lights in it, Willis."

"Cor blimey, Harris, we'd better scarper pronto, son."

"Not 'alf, Willis! Meet back at Sleazy Joe's in 20 mins!"

Because all car thieves in my head are Cockneys...

Remember the other dummy ones you could get. Had the red strobe light in them like knight rider, used to stick it on ya dash if you couldnt afford a real alarm. Now that really put the chavy thieves off

If I put the fact it has an alarm on my insurance would that drop my insurance at all? And if so how do I identify the brand/make of the alarm :)

Depends on if the blinky light is Thatcham approved or not. [emoji4]

Depends if the blinky light is anything more than a decoy.
