How Much??

Featured Replies

Alright guys

I am wondering If anyone has got a rough idea on how much I would get if I traded in my Ford Fiesta Zetec 2011 car for a newer version please???

all depends on millage, condition, service history and previous keepers. You will get more for a private sale, to give you an idea tho you could get free valuations from auto trade or we by any car to mention a few or go to ebay and look for a similar car and search the sold listings to see what people are actually paying. remember tho as a part ex you wont get near those figures.

hope this helps:wink:

As Steve has said regarding your car, but also important is the car you are buying. If a rare model/colour you will get less for your trade in than you would for a model that is available in abundance. Also important is how old is the car you are buying and bizarrely the time of the week, month or year you buy it for dealership sale figures.

A lot of the online sites will give wildly varying figures. When I did mine last year they varied by 100%, so you needed to have some idea to be able to use those. Parkers was by far the lowest and as it turned out completely wrong. I also got a quote from WeBuyAnyCar and as long as you are aware that the figure they quote will be reduced for every minor imperfection they were reasonably accurate. It's estimated that you need to reduce the figure they give you by about 20%

Woah so some places offered you nothing while some offered twice what the car was worth?

Lol I know what you meant, just me being obtuse 😎

I got £6100 for it. WeBuy offered £7600 (less 20%, is about £6100) and Parkers online quote was only about £3500. Others were only around the £4500-5500 mark. At the time I estimated between £5500-£6000. Similar cars were being advertised for about £7700-£8000, probably selling at around £7200-7500

FYI It was a one owner 2007 - 07 plate Focus ST3 with a few extras, no mods and in v good condition with 10 months MOT and just 31k miles on the clock. I was told it had sold immediately; I imagine before I even exchanged

I bet. I paid 8k for my Mk3 Ti Nav and I'd rather have had a Mk2 ST3 =]
