Help needed.. female issues with mechanics

Featured Replies

3 months ago a friend of mine took my smax titanium to his mechanic friend as it needed work doing and I'm not gonna lie, I'm clueless with this stuff.

basically I was aware it needed a new steering pump and battery.

This then transpired to a new rack being needed alongside filtes and because they've had it so long an mot needed doing as well.

hes literally had my car for 3 months now, cost me well over a grand and today my friend dropped it back to me after weeks of complaining...

it as no mot, the airbag light is on, the engine management light is on (reckons the code came up saying something about a broken wire but they couldn't find it) and it rattles at 40-45mph.

None of these Things were an issue when I sent my car to him. He said he's taken the car apart 3 times and can't find a reason for the rattle. Apparently turned both the dash lights off and they've come back on

i have 3 children, im a single parent I've been minus a car for 3 months and I'm a grand down for a car I still can't use!

What the hell can I do now? Anyone have any ideas why these lights are on or the rattling happens?

That's awful! There seem to be a load of issues here so I would suggest for advice on your options regarding the garage and where to go with your complaints then the citizens advice is the best place. I'm sure someone on here with more mechanical knowledge will offer some advice. My advice would be that your friend needs a new mechanic! Good luck.
