Focus mk2 rear wiper relay

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

Does someone know how to identify the rear wiper relay on a 2005 mk2 Focus?

I've already successfully replaced the windshield wipers relay thanks to a tutorial I've found on the Internet. The PCB displays 3 other types of relays (see attached image), and I have no idea how to identify the one I'm interested in.

All suggestions are welcome!

Hi Arnaud,

Were you able to locate the wiper relays? I suppose those are white relays since those are double, sequential relays according to NEC/TOKIN spec (group B on your photo). Would you be so kind to post the tutorial you have mentioned? I was not able to find anything on this topic since the official Ford service manual states that GEM module should be "lifetime" or just replaced as a whole module if damaged or faulty. No vehicle electronics suppliers like Visteon presents the design or publish Gerber files anywhere either. I just washed the conformal coating off the boards using MG Chemicals remover, dissasembled the whole double PCB assembly and replaced all relays checking the mosfets also finally appling new MG conformal after soldering them together, and I'm wondering now if I could have done this easier than loosing whole week for this :)
