Lowering springs recommendations

Featured Replies

So recently bought a 2007 Zetec s and everything is running perfectly although noticed it's very boaty around tight corners and with 16" alloys there's quite a gap between arch and wheel. To improve it I was looking for lowering springs as I don't want to ruin the ride with bigger wheels and would like to keep it as standard as possible so any recommendations for springs that wouldn't be too low would be greatly appreciated

Heard lots about Eibach sport springs. Haven't lowered my car myself so I can't talk from personal experience but most of the guys on here swear by them - might be worth checking out [emoji5]

+1 for Eibachs, have them on both our cars.

Don't forget to tell your insurer if you install them.

I'd go for eibach. My dad installed eibach springs on his car and the ride isn't too stiff. I have a zetec s just like you and my dad has found the factory springs on it more stiff compared to the eibach springs he installed on his car.

I have H&R on mine. But as long as you buy a well known make & not some unbranded cheap ones from eBay it's all good

Just remember that with stock shock don`t go lower than -30mm -40mm. Below that you need also change shocks

H&R or Eibach (try the german eBay) ;)
