Oil in fiesta spark plug well

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I noticed recently my spark plug wells were puddled with water on my 2003 fiesta. After reading around here I diagnosed the windscreen washer jets were leaking water, fitted new ones and the leak has gone.

Checked my spark plug wells today and they are dry but the two wells on the right are oily and one in particular has a bead of oil around it. (First picture) Would this mean rocker gasket has gone? Can they just perish over time or do I need to try and found out what has caused it to go?

Also I noticed a threaded hole next to my spark plug, that is leaking oil. I don't mean the core plug, I've attached photo of it here. Anyone know what this is? (Second picture)

Thanks!

Hi, I have same problem, replaced the rocker gasket & it returned shortly after. Car idle is rough but performance is fine when up &grinning. No one knows what this threaded orifice is for?
