HEATER /BLOWER PROBLEM

Featured Replies

hi am am new here but need help .....my blower has stopped working ...I have power to the switch so thought it was the switch and changed it ..one suggestion is feed 12volt to the blower direct BUT TO WHERE ON THE HEATER BLOWER ....Also I am told it may be my fuse box   94ag14a073baa.....any thoughts ....and where would I get a replacement fuse box if needed ....I know some fuseboxes are more prone to fail than others ....does anyone know if mine is on the list .

what model ford do you have and age? has blower stopped on all four positions ?

hi ian just looked ...its under a black plastic  cover shelf ...how do you get access to it   I can see that its a plastic removable cover   un clipwires  and bulkhead rubber strip ...I can see 4 bolts  two at either end   .IS THERE MORE    there usually is

that sounds about right . theres 6 bolts.

check for 12 volts at connector. position 1 will feed the black/red wire, position 2 black/yellow, position 3 black/ green. if nothing at any of them , then fuse box is your likely cause. if you have then motor. resistor pack should still allow 12 v to motor so i doubt that is your issue.

where are the other two bolts   UNDER THE SOUNDPROOFING??

sorry but don't understand term ..... if you have then motor   etc etc .....ALSO  Is the resistor pack a separate item and how do you test that

Sorry, I should have written that better. If you have feeds to the connector , then it's likely the motor is faulty.
The resistor pack is separate. To test it you can check resistance with multimeter set to ohms.

The bolts , I will see if I can find a picture for you. Has been probably 12-14 years since I've looked/done the job.
