Loss of power uphill

Featured Replies

Hi all I have a 1999 mk2 Mondeo estate that runs fine on flat ground and downhill but come to a hill and the speed drops so much I have to change down gears sometimes to second just to get uphill.

Checked mag sensor that seems okay anything else I can look at.

If power is down like that, I would recommend changing the fuel filter.

The engine is having to work harder when going uphill and considering how cheap a fuel filter is for the 1.8 diesel it's got to be worth a shout.
