rear demist

Featured Replies

Hi

Just bought a 2002 MK5 Fiesta freestyle

And the rear demister has just stopped working!!!

Any ideas??

Check the fuse,

If you have, or know someone who has a multimeter check there is 12v at the connectors on the window. If the fuse is ok and there's no supply at the window then it's either the relay or switch, if there is a supply at the window the elements might be damaged, you should be able to see or feel any breaks in them, you can get some conductive repair paint from halfords, maplins etc.

I've used the granville repair kit for £11.49 from halfords.  Limited success.  Of the four breaks only 1 came back to life.  Have just done a third coat so am hoping that might help.
