Faulty Rear Fog Light

Hi there, my focus estate has just failed it’s MOT on rear fog light.  I have changed the bulbs and nothing, changed the fog lamp fuse and nothing, lights co,e up on dash ok, if it’s the really then surely the rest on that relay wouldn’t work (which they do) . Have cleaned up the connections and still nothing. What should I try next before taking it to garage and getting royally rodgered.  Any advice is much appreciated

    Check the wires for chafed, broken and exposed wires especially in the shroud where they go from the tailgate back into the bodywork
