Removing inner boot lid trim? - MK5 Hatch

Featured Replies

I'm looking to connect up a hardwire dashcam kit for a rear facing camera and plan to attach it to a switched live on the rear wiper motor.  I'm not seeing anywhere else to go!

Does anyone know how to remove the large inner trim panel that is covering it?  I've been able to remove the lighter coloured trim panel around the upper half of the window ok but I'm not seeing anything obvious other than giving it a good pull!

Thanks.

There are a couple of screws if I remember rightly. You also have to remove the grab handle by prying the top of the handle off with a flat headed screw driver in the join line and then unscrewing the screws beneath. I’d need to check tomorrow to be sure where the other screws are

Thanks.  I will await your reply.

Jono is correct.
2 screws on the grab handle
The pull off the panel.
Bit tricky lining it up again on refitting.

All best done when it's warm

Thanks.  Will take a look at this as soon as I can.
