Warning lights on dash - no fault found

Featured Replies

Hi all

Wondering if you can help me please. I've got a Ford Ka Zetec 2012.

I turned my engine on one day and noticed that the warning symbol of padlock with car behind was on and ALSO the oil symbol. I immediately checked the oil level and this was fine (also had service done July 2017). The car drove fine and didn't seem to have any problems, but i took it to a garage who ran a diagnostic on it - no faults found. This was 2 weeks ago.

At the weekend i was out in my car running errands all morning and when i was unloading the boot with the engine running, i noticed an egg smell. I have since done some very short journeys (15 mins max) and i have not noticed the smell.

Any advice on how i should proceed?

Proceed to a dealer to have it looked at.
