08 S Max Chain Engine , No Belt ?

Hi ,

I'm looking at a 08 SMAX and have been told by the sales man that the engine is chain only, has no belts and does not require any scheduled parts serviced. I am under the impression that it would have a chain and belt. Its a 1.8 TDCI  5 speed  125PS model. I know this question is done to death around the place. Is he wrong and would I need to be changing a belt soon. Mileage is 75 K miles.

    Could be chain and belt or wetbelt and belt. No one seems to know the change over dates.
