Boot floor rusty due to rear light letting in water

Hi guys. Just bought a 1997 5 door 1.6 escort. Just noticed the rear footwells were wet. I investigated further and found the boot was wet and was rusty but had been covered over. Does anyone sell complete replacement boot floors? Can't find one anywhere. Thanks Leigh

I take it you mean wheel well rather than footwell? You can't get them off the shelf, it's a job that requires cutting the old one out and welding in a new one. Best bet is to visit a breakers yard and cut one out. I'd imagine they'd do it for you (even more willing if it's one with frame damage elsewhere).

The footwells were soaking wet. I traced it back to the rear clusters letting in water. the wheel well is fine but the seems between the boot floor and the inner arch have almost completely gone.

It's going to be a similar job either way. Lot's of cutting and welding, the Shell isn't really something thay bolts together. Spot welds and more welds to remove the boot floor.
