Emergancy assistance

Featured Replies

hello. im a new ford owner this is my first ford ive  bought on a recommendation. ive got 1 issue which ive been back to the garage i bought it from. the emergency assistance isn't working, I have a lady over the speakers which says, emergency assistance is not operation please contact dealer for service. ive taken  my car back to the garage (under warranty) and ford say they have updated the sync and it should work. had car back today and still the same women comes on. ive managed to go into the sub menu (while car is off) with my phone connected through Bluetooth, and the ive turned on the system, but soon as I turn car on women comes on again. can anyone please help me with this. ive got an iPhone 7 (as ford say my phone is too new for the system) and my focus is a 62 plate titanium eco tdi.

thank you

Its rubbish them saying that your phone is "too new" for the system. An iPhone 7 should be absolutely fine with a car that age.

It is more likely to be Apple's latest iOS release (11.2.x). This has been found to be dodgy when connecting to bluetooth in all vehicles (not just Fords). There have been problems ranging from no connection at all to stuttering music to no emergency assistance.

IMO this is likely to be the cause and not the vehicle. In the mean time, Apple are (apparently) working on a universal fix, but it might be some time.

thank you, I've just checked my phone and I'm running the IOS 11.2.5 I also used my misses phone to see if it was mine. she's got a Samsung s6 so still new. its very frustrating. my phone connects fine, Bluetooth works great, I use it when phoning people through he car, and also play music too. its just this 1 thing that isn't working and haven the women come on the speakers every time gets annoying. my work colleague as a 17 plate ford focus and an up-to-date iPhone and his is working fine, no issues. I don't know what else to try really.

thank you for your reply I will keep trying.
