Help with fiesta zetec...clutch???

I have just bought a fiesta 1.4 zetec, however there's a rattling noise when in idle and clutch pressed fully down, it stops when I bring the pedal up slightly, will it be new clutch??

    Probably - they symptoms fit, but one can never be sure without the car in front of one.

    If you drive it gently it might go for years like that, or something could fail tomorrow.  If the car is otherwise decent a new clutch isn't too expensive.
