2.0 tdci Mondeo mk4 aux heater

Featured Replies

Hey

Does somebody have any idea what could be wrong with my 2.0 tdci mk4 Mondeos park heater or fuel system. It is quite cold here in Finland right now and if I use the park heater with a timer it will start and warm up but when I try to start the engine it will take a long time for the engine to even try to start as if it wasn't getting any fuel. After about 20s-40s starting you can hear the engine getting fuel and struggling to start but eventually starts and runs smoothly after.

Without using the park heater the car starts just as fine as you would expect at -24 degrees celcius (=a little slow and with a furious sound)

Here is the start after using park heater at about -15
