I was wondering if anyone out there has the mk6 Ghia fiesta as i need a picture of the interior light (if its the one with map reading lights!)

I keep seeing interior lights on ebay listed for focus/mondeo and fiesta mk6 but they all are slightly different in appearence.

I have a '58 reg Fiesta Zetec Climate, with theatre-dimming, powering a W5W sidelamp bulb, not the earlier festoon bulb. Both your, and my car can take the Mk 1 Focus Ghia interior lamp with map lights. I bought mine from a scrappy, for £18, so that I got the plugs and a length of leads, but found that the standard 2 plugs are all that it needs. You can buy a new unit from "http://fordpartsuk.com/shop/products.php?id=32" The part number is 4405351, and costs £19.87p + VaT, + post, made by Ford.

My one took the 44 mm 10w festoon bulb, and the map-light bulbs were an unusual type, a bayonet cap type called 233 T4W, available as a philips bluevision, or, from ring as 233 Vision24 T4W long life halogen bulb, which I have ordered from "www.leadinglamps.co.uk", at a price of £1.99p each, + £2.95 post. (tel. 0844 357 1248) I prefer these to blue, as I have to stay with a filament festoon main bulb, as the dimmer circuit is incompatible with led bulbs. The 10W festoon is twice the watts of the old W5W one in the installed courtesy light.

I am getting by at the moment with Bosch Pure Light BLB989B spherical bulbs, 12v 5W, BA9s end cap = 9 mm dia + 2 opposed bayonet pips, not the offset pips type, which are more common. Other box markings are O 986 GLO 240 7Z3, and some carton labelling suggests they may be halogen (>200 C, and don't touch glass, use gloves/dark glasses) They were £1.50p each, from a trade source via a local car accessory shop. Clear glass, again, but the Ring longlife, claim 3 times normal life, for use in VOLVO DRL use etc., and are the petite 9 mm dia. cap & glass x 22 mm long, 3.5 mm shorter than the Bosch.

I went to local ford dealer to find out about an interior light but they list the Fiesta Ghia interior light at just over £74!!!! Will definately be looking into scrapyards etc then as my local one gets a few focus in regular.

I'm looking at installing a glovebox light too...thats something i'm gonna have to make myself as there isn't one on the mk6 fiesta (according to Ford dealer).There is plenty of space in there though and room to be able to hide the light well.

Also gonna be looking at ST powerfold mirrors. We have manual mirrors and want electric ones...our road is also VERY narrow so powerfold would be a good option.

Cheers mate for the offer but i've seen what they look like now and i'm just waiting to stumble accross a focus ghia light in my local breakers! :)
