Ford focus diesel crazy starting problem!

Featured Replies

My car is  Spanish FORD FOCUS 1.8 TDi Ghia 4 DOOR SALOON 1999
The car wont start most of the time, (sometimes it does first time.)
If a bit of easy start is used it will start and runs normal as it ever has (I have had the car from new and its in excellent condition), full power, no smoke and sounds well, doesn't miss a beat or cut out.
The car last refused to start at Christmas and has been at home since, I bought a new battery and fitted it and the car started first time for a couple of times and the we are back to non starting, also the fuel filter has been changed, filled and bled and the car has run well after so I don't think air is the problem, I had a new clutch fitted at my local workshop around the time this problem started, could this this be anything to do with the problem?, My local workshop started the car with easy start and put the car on its analyser and no error codes were shown, the car ran normally and started for two days and then we are back to non starting, like I explained once started the car runs as well as it ever has, I am at a bit of a loss as to what the problem might be, regards.

@Michael 786 its possible it could be the alternator, glow plugs or even the fact they used easy start to start your engine as that stuff usually tends to cause the engine weather diesel/petrol to depend upon it for starting if used too much.
