Need help removing a heater system from behind dash.

Featured Replies

Hi all, new to the club and needing some experienced help!!!.

Currently have the other halves car in pieces.. 2005 mk2 focus.

O'ring popped on the heater matrix. Replaced that and in my haste to reassemble I broke the flap that controls the heat blend!!! What a star I am!!!. Anyway, I need to now remove the whole heater matrix box from behind the dash and crash bar. The bar runs completely from one side to the other. The dash is off and the the full unit is visible but I cannot fathem how to remove past the crash bar??!?!?

I spoke to a ford service department who claimed the bar came out separate from the plastic structure??? Really??? Then a few bolts on external bulkhead would free the unit.....

Anyone out there who can help???

Thanks all

Matt.
