Brake problems

Featured Replies

Hi all I’m new here but think things like this can be helpful sometimes,

my focus titanium 58 model is having a few braking issues,

my handbrake is kinda ceasing on, making a loud clunk when I take it off and go to move, today it took it to a whole new level and started to make a loud dragging noise and all the wee metal parts under neath started to shake, I know I’m needing a new wheel bearing hub, it’s been to the garage this morning to get that checked but the guy was busy so didn’t have time to look at the handbrake also

any helpful tips and pointers would be fab thanks

Sounds like the pads are sticking, this could be due to moisture or they could be worn out or a combination of both.

Hello from Fife too.

Is it discs on the back of yours? sound like a sticking pad or caliper.
