Looking nice Dave in red
Just one question, on the Zetec S isn't the chrome boot strip ment to be painted?
No idea but I saw 2 more at the dealers that had chrome so I guess not...

Black/chrome interior is nicer but think the new front end has a unfortunate whiff of Austin Allegro Vanden Plas about it....

You should have gone to specsavers mate. Facelift Fiesta is not only nothing like the allegro VP but its also a big improvement inside and out on the pre-facelift IMO. I took a 10 plate Fez Zetec-S 1.6 petrol for a spin once and the interior was not as nice as the new one and whilst performance figures will be similar I guess, the 1.6 felt like hard work. These new ecoboost engines just make it feel effortless and all the while hitting good MPG. Who needs a diesel with this award winning engine from Ford?

Interesting. I wonder if the colour matching of the tailgate thingy is only if you have metallic paint cos the red is solid.

Just been out getting to grips with SYNC tonight. Its brilliant! Got an iPhone 5 and it worked perfectly. Naming the track finds it and then if you press the info button it tells you the artist, the track and the album!

I think it should have the red piece, I'll hopefully be at Ford tomorrow nagging so will check on their showroom one.

Ouch sounds like a raw nerve there.
Not sure why we've gone off on an anti Diesel tangent? Would be interested to see if real world MPG are 40+ for the new petrol engines let alone anywhere near the jackanory factory figures.

No raw nerve matey just giving some back lol. I am not anti diesel by the way in fact I have owned more diesels than petrols over the years. Its just that diesel can be a false economy because it costs more to buy the car and then more to fuel. It would take a fair few miles to make it back with the superior MPG of the diesel.
I agree with you about the factory figures. No way my car will hit 65mpg but I got 48mpg coming home and the engine hasn't loosened up yet. Zero road tax cost and I do 9k miles per year at the most these days so the ecoboost made the most sense and I think that you would need to be doing many more miles than me to justify the TDCi.
