I know people have to start somewhere, but it does seem a bit weird. If anyone was to purchase, I would strongly suggest using credit cards and or finance to ensure that you have all cover of section 75!

It's annoying because they gave me a great value for my car haha what a nightmare!

Well I certainly wouldn't use a company that incorrectly uses the word 'your' instead of 'you're' :D :D :D

You have to look at the bad side of that , was it to try and lure you in !

We buy any Car , offer well below price's for instance.

Wow well there you go! Cheers for that Preee!

Glad to be of service , just hope a few others do a search for these scammers and stumble on this or other warning posts.

Nice research preee!

webuyanycar.com are good for a quick sale if your seriously desperate, but I would only use them in a certain emergency... like if my car was going to cause me a divorce...

haha do you mean you would need the money to celebrate :)

lol :p more to save the divorce from happening I think, but a sorrow drowning session if it should not work :)

That site seems to have vanished now so definitely dodgy.

trying to earn a few quid then disappearing before anyone sees...?

I believe the old fashioned term is "Fly By Night"

Thieving gets.

An advanced fee (419) scam is where you pay admin fees to facilitate services that don't exist.

Things like foreign lotteries, unknown relatives wills, foreign sales, etc.

It's a long running scam that has many variations.

Oh right yeah! I keep getting emails off people who want my car as a present for a family member but want me to ship it over to them! Ha keep don't fall for that surely?? Do they?

It's amazing how many people still fall for the scams and they're not all thickies either.

There's a lot of variations and different angles, the scam plays on peoples gullibility and greed.
