Please help, I have an 2012 SMAX 2.0TDI 163 Powershift, the car starts fine and will drive fine under very light acceleration. However as soon as any load is applied the car jerks followed by an ESP warning light and a message (or multiple/flashing) message/s saying 'ESP off', normally followed by an "engine malfunction" and "transmission malfunction" the car then becomes difficult to drive and eventually the IPC displays many lights including ABS and the speedometer drops to 0 before finally losing all drive (but engine still running) I have replace the PCM and ABS modules and also the battery. It might be coincidental but both the front doors have trouble locking and unlocking when the remote button is pressed. Any help on this would be massively appreciated. TIA DTC's attached here 4.txt

Hi, I've got a 2013 Focus 1.6 petrol 125 with 27k on the clock Just wondering about whether I should get the timing belt done or not? Also it's got a powershift box (I know) and wondering about the gearbox oil, should I get it changed? Cheers

Cam belt is due at 10 years, so it is due now.

I guess that posting information for you is a waste of time? If you were to read my post above then you would see the link for the correct lead to use.

Hi At what interval or mileage should I be replacing cambelt on 2014 1.6 tdci. Also like earlier models is it advisable to have the water pump changed at same time. What other must do maintenance should I be doing on the focus to keep it running smoothly the last couple I have had only ever had oil changes and just replaced things as they broke. What do people generally carry out on these cars thanks

forscan is ok, but I think the device is not ok, I used this one, I think I should replace it and get another one. It opens everything for me, but before that it tells me that it is not the device for this car

There is a way to get daytime running lights working on mk2.5 Focus, at least for cars with auto headlamps. Needs a couple of fuses fitting, a relay and a link adding to the wiring plugs for the GEM. The auto headlamps then stay on (switch in Auto position) and in reality then just turn on the tail lamps when it decides it’s dark enough.

2.0 TDCi Service Now & limp mode on acceleration/under load

Hmm.. My challenge now is to try and work out where abouts it is on the car! This is the box https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335340075015 Looks like this is the sensor here in this photo, I wonder if it is accessible from the engine bay or if I will need to go under the car. I suppose I can do a visual inspection and it might be worth me unplugging it and seeing what codes I get. Will also be helpful to see what loom it comes off. -
No. What you should be doing is getting it changed last week !!!!!

say that again Is there an echo in here ? 🤣 Have you tried releasing the handbrake ???? 🤔

Hi, I've just bought a 2014 Titanium X 1.0 with 28,000 on the clock with full service history. Should I think about replacing the wet bet?

A good question and if you find an answer let me know. Some days my laptop will crash 3 times in the day with blue screen of death, and then it will be fine for a week with no issues 🤔
