I have booked my car into a garage for a full service and cambelt change, they said the water pump doesn't need changing as it ain't run on the same belt. I have had a quick look around and some people are saying change it and other say it wont hurt, any advice?

    If a garage is doing it you may as well get it swapped now. If it fails in the near future they're going to have to strip a fair bit off to get to it compared to a quick bolt off/bolt on whilst everything is in bits anyway. For the sake of an extra £30-40 it's worth it for the peace of mind.
